The exam is identical everywhere and graded centrally in Frankfurt. Only price, dates, format, and travel differ. Here's a selection of licensed centres.

Weekly telc exams for all levels. Registration usually closes 14 days before the exam date. With winter-semester application deadlines looming, register 3 to 4 weeks ahead instead.

Licensed telc exam centre, on-site and digital
Booking possible up to 36 hours before the exam date while seats last. Regular registration deadline approx. 15 days ahead. B2 also bookable as a partial exam (written only or oral only).

Written exam 2 hours 20 minutes, oral exam with 20 minutes of preparation time, on the same or a different day. Certificate after approx. 4 to 6 weeks.

Central location, all main levels on one date
B2 at every date, alongside A1, B1, C1, and C1 Hochschule. Easy to plan around if you want to lock in your exam day early.
Nuremberg Bavaria
B2 dates on a monthly rhythm
B2 and B1 in rotation. If you miss a date, plan for the next one directly instead of hoping for a last-minute seat.
Saarbrücken Saarland
B2 dates in late summer
Handy if you live in the southwest or travel in from France or Luxembourg.
Mannheim Baden-Württemberg
B2 in late summer and autumn
Late August cuts it close for many enrolment deadlines. Factor in the 4 to 6 weeks of grading time before you pick this date.
Bad Homburg Hesse
Take the exam directly with the exam provider, near Frankfurt
telc Deutsch A2 to C2 directly at telc gGmbH. Register via the training portal; details arrive by email two weeks before the exam.

Adult education centres, language schools, training institutes
Almost every larger city has a telc centre, often at the local Volkshochschule. The official centre search filters by location and exam: telc.net → centre search
The official deadline is usually 14 to 15 days before the exam. In June and July, seats disappear much earlier because of winter-semester application deadlines.
Depending on the centre, results come back from central grading after 3 to 6 weeks. If you need the certificate for a deadline, count backwards from that date.
